Just released by WilburWorldWide is the short film which was premiered at the Global Diaspora Forum in Manila last month. Here, Wilbur Sargunaraj shows us an example of “entering the other’s world” as he steps into the home of “Madam Irene”, an aspiring actress, mother and sex worker in the migrant fishing village of Kasensero, Uganda. The International Office of Migration works directly with Irene as a peer educator in a strategy to reduce HIV/AIDS infection rates which have been as high as 40% in villages like hers. We admire Irene’s courage in telling the world her story.
