Greenhills Christian Fellowship Ortigas, February 7-8, 2014 — The annual theological forum of the Asian Theological Seminary was held in the heart of Ortigas, a booming city in Pasig. The forum focused on the theme “God at the borders.” This time ATS looked deeper into the phenomenon of diaspora and its impact on world evangelization. GCF, a mega church located in Ortigas hosted the event. Several scholars, including Dr. Athena Gorospe and Dr. Sadiri Joy Tira were chosen as keynote speakers. The two-day forum was participated by around 800 delgates. Breakout sessions addressed various issues related to diaspora. The outcome of the forum will be published and hopefully will see its release in time for the GDN Global Forum in Manila next year.
During the forum Diaspora Missiology was also launched. ATS, under the leadership of Dr. Timothy Gener, ATS President and Dr. Jojo Manzano, ATS Mission’s Director, are taking the lead in developing the Diaspora Missiology program and the seminary hopes to become a regional center. ATS has one of the best mission’s program and students come from several parts of Asia.
